The Birkenstock Santa Clarita is a closed shoe with a soft, ballerina-like silhouette, a slim buckled strap across the instep and, underneath, the anatomically shaped footbed that made the German brand famous.

The Birkenstock Santa Clarita rests on an anatomically shaped cork and latex footbed, with a deep heel cup, arch support and a toe bar, in a removable version. The slim strap keeps the foot in place and improves the hold while walking. The fit is narrow.

Materials and Construction

The upper is in smooth natural leather or in soft nubuck leather, depending on the colour chosen. The footbed lining is in suede, breathable and open-pored. The sole is in EVA, lightweight and shock-absorbing. The footbed is declared Made in Germany by the manufacturer.

Versatility and Styling

It is the flat shoe that goes from the office to the evening: with midi skirts and dresses, cigarette trousers, straight jeans; barefoot in the milder months, with tights on cold days. The Birkenstock Santa Clarita can be worn all day long.

The Birkenstock Santa Clarita is built with a cork and latex footbed, a natural leather or nubuck upper and an EVA sole. It is footwear designed to last: the footbed is removable and the manufacturer offers specific care kits to extend its life.

Care and Maintenance

For smooth leather Birkenstock recommends the Leather Conditioner and the Polishing Cloth; for nubuck a suitable brush for dry dirt and the Suede Care Kit, following the manufacturer's instructions. The removable footbed is taken out to air the shoe. Leave to dry in the open air, away from heat sources.
