Birkenstock Highwood Slip On Mid Women's Chelsea Boot in Oiled Leather

The Birkenstock Highwood Slip On Mid is the Chelsea boot of the Highwood line: it slips on without laces, has an upper in thick oiled nubuck leather and the cork elements in the sole that make it recognisable as an original Birkenstock. On the manufacturer's website it appears as the Highwood Chelsea.

Comfort and Fit

Inside the Birkenstock Highwood Slip On Mid is Birkenstock's original Deep Blue footbed, anatomically shaped and removable, with a heel cup and arch support, which the manufacturer describes as comfortable and lightweight, to be worn even on long days. The fit is narrow.

Materials and Construction

The upper is thick oiled nubuck leather, worked with open seams. The footbed lining is microfibre. The outsole is natural rubber with cork elements. Birkenstock declares the model Made in Portugal.

Versatility and Styling

It is the autumn and winter ankle boot for the city: with jeans, straight-leg trousers and wool skirts, with thick socks. The laceless Chelsea line makes it quick to put on and suited to the office. The Birkenstock Highwood Slip On Mid brings the Deep Blue footbed to an ankle boot with a clean line.

Sustainability

The Birkenstock Highwood Slip On Mid is built with an oiled leather upper, cork elements in the sole and a natural rubber outsole. It is footwear designed to last: the Deep Blue footbed is removable and the manufacturer offers specific care kits to extend its life. It is made in Portugal.

Care and Maintenance

Oiled leather can develop a patina with wear. Birkenstock offers the Oiled Leather Care Set and the Leather Conditioner. Leave to dry naturally, away from direct heat sources. The removable footbed can be taken out to air the shoe.
